In The Function of Education Jiddu Krishnamurti argues that the purpose of schooling is to prepare folks for life. That is completed by making college students feel free, so that they can suppose freely, and won’t conform to society. Society is corrupt, violent, and oppressive. If college students don’t think freely they can even be corrupt, violent, and oppressive.
